IEM Senior Analyst Andrew Coffey Discusses Fusion Center Success

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC, October 2, 2015 – IEM Senior Analyst Dr. Andrew Coffey spoke Thursday about key factors that can influence fusion center success. His talk was part of a panel focused on assessing fusion center effectiveness at George Washington University’s Center for Cyber and Homeland Security. The panel was based on Dr. Coffey’s dissertation “Measuring Effectiveness in the Domestic Intelligence Community: Taking a Configurational Approach to Explain Organizational Outcomes in the National Network of Fusion Centers.”

The panel published an Issue Brief written by Dr. Coffey that highlights the key findings of his dissertation. That paper, “Evaluating Intelligence and Information Sharing Networks: Examples from a Study of the National Network of Fusion Centers” can be found here.

Key points from the panel discussion are captured in an article by Statescoop published here.
