WHAT WE DO
For nearly 40 years, IEM’s mission remains focused on building a safe, secure and resilient world. Resilience is THE cornerstone of what IEM does. We help create long-term strategies to create safer, more resilient communities and the infrastructure upon which they are built and depend for their livelihoods.
We know resilience starts with investing in communities to develop robust lifelines and critical infrastructure that able to withstand future disasters and mitigate risk.
IEM’s team of experts includes former FEMA and HUD executives, state and local emergency managers, and mitigation professionals who successfully directed and led countless resiliency programs and managed large-scale federal grant programs.
From resilience planning and benefit cost analyses (BCAs) required to secure federal funding, to deploying mitigation strategies during recovery, IEM assists communities, states, territories, and tribes in reducing the loss of life and property, to create a resilient future.
IEM works on projects that fund investments in energy, climate resilience, water and transportation infrastructure.
