IEM Appoints Charlie Axton as Director of Response and Recovery Division, Strengthening Nationwide Disaster Support

Morrisville, NC, April 24, 2024 – IEM International, Inc., the largest consulting firm of its kind specializing in emergency management, disaster recovery, homeland security, and digital citizen services, proudly announces the selection of Charlie Axton as the new Director of Response and Recovery in the International Homeland Security and Emergency Management Sector. In this capacity, Axton will oversee IEM’s efforts to support state, local, tribal, and territorial clients as they respond to and recover from disasters and other crises.

Collaborating closely with IEM’s public health experts, Axton established effective response strategies, setting a benchmark for pandemic recovery operations across jurisdictions. Among other accolades, these achievements garnered recognition as the 2023 recipient of the IEM President’s Excellence Award, presented to him by IEM’s Founder and Chairwoman, Madhu Beriwal.

Axton’s unwavering commitment to exceeding client expectations helped secure additional opportunities with existing clients, expanding our services beyond pandemic response operations, including planning and training support, public assistance program administration, and federal funds management to emergency asylum seeker humanitarian aid and sheltering operations.
