IEM Hosts 2024 Leadership Summit to Foster Growth and Innovation
Corporate Leaders Convene to Discuss Accomplishments, Goals, and Vision
April 15, 2024, Morrisville, NC – Last week, IEM convened our management team for the 2024 Leadership Summit in Orlando, Florida. This dynamic event brought together 90 of our company’s esteemed leaders nationwide for a two-day summit focusing on reflection, strategic planning, and future goals.
The executives, directors, and managers from all departments and sectors convened to share accomplishments from the past year, objectives for their respective teams, and insight into IEM’s vision in the coming years. The thoughtful discussions among IEM leadership provoked insightful and innovative strategies to propel our growth and reach future targets.
At this year’s event, IEM President and CEO Bryan Koon, joined by Founder and Chairwoman Madhu Beriwal, outlined IEM’s plans for further expansion in providing assistance and support to government at all levels, organizations, communities, and individuals worldwide. By extending our reach to new areas and establishing collaborative partnerships, we aim to enhance our effectiveness in fulfilling our mission and continuing excellent service to our clients. Koon highlighted IEM’s impact in nearly four decades of operations, culminating in a comprehensive discussion of how IEM will continue leveraging our expertise, experience, and resources to build a safe, secure, and resilient world.
IEM was honored to welcome guest speakers Kevin Guthrie, Executive Director at the Florida Division of Emergency Management, and Manny Soto, Director of the City of Orlando’s Office of Emergency Management. Both Guthrie and Soto shared their perspectives as career emergency managers working in Florida, reflecting on recent disasters and incidents, and highlighting the power of collaboration between government and the private sector to serve communities effectively before, during, and after disaster. We were honored to host these experienced leaders to provide their insight and foster discussions amongst the team.
Reflecting on the past year’s achievements, Koon presented the President’s Excellence Award to two deserving IEMers for their commitment to our client, core values, and mission.
Andrew Coffey, Ph.D. was recognized for his pivotal role in expanding IEM’s footprint in the digital and technology space, propelling us into new realms of innovation and progress. His collaborative nature and acumen for business development, including new federal clients, was honored.
Nadienka Sanz was commended for her exceptional leadership overseeing the Puerto Rico Homeowner Assistance Program, serving more than 8,000 Puerto Rican families. Her commitment to excellence sets a standard for us all and helped our customers, the Puerto Rico Housing Finance Authority, become the first Homeowner Assistance Fund program to both launch and fully disperse all allocated funding.
The annual Leadership Summit was a resounding success, embodying our commitment to excellence and collective growth. Amidst the vibrant exchange of ideas and strategies, there was a profound sense of camaraderie fostered by celebrating our wins, reflecting on paths for improvement, and breaking bread together. This shared experience transcended mere sustenance, forging bonds, and fostering understanding. Through in-person collaboration, the IEM management team engaged in strategic planning and workshops, fortifying ourselves for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead, ready to navigate the ever-evolving landscape of our industry.
Through the dedicated leadership of the team members, IEM looks forward to continuing to assist in strengthening communities, building resilience, and preparing for a better future. As we approach our 40th anniversary milestone next year, our commitment to cultivating a safer, more secure, and resilient world stands stronger than ever.
