IEM Named “Best Place to Work” in Baton Rouge for Ninth Consecutive Year

IEM, the world’s largest woman-and minority-owned emergency management and disaster recovery consulting firm, was named as one of the 2023 Best Places to Work in Baton Rouge, ranking 3rd in the large employer category and 3rd overall in the greater Baton Rouge metropolitan area.

The recognition is awarded by a collaboration of the Greater Baton Rouge Business Report, the Greater Baton Rouge affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), and the Best Companies Group. As one of the recipients of this recognition, IEM demonstrated its status as a best place of employment in Baton Rouge, benefitting local businesses, workforce, and the city’s economy at large.

Since 2015, IEM has been recognized on this list. In the first three years, IEM was recognized as 5th, 9th and 7th in the small to medium-sized company category. As of 2018, IEM participated in the large company category, placing 11th, 10th, 14th, 6th, and 2nd in the most recent rankings. This year marks our ninth consecutive year on the 2023 Best Places to Work in Baton Rouge list.

IEM Founder, President and CEO Madhu Beriwal stated, “With IEM’s long history in Louisiana, we are honored to once again be named as one of the Best Places to Work in Baton Rouge. We are committed to continuing to support Louisiana in emergency management, disaster recovery, digital citizen services, and so many other capacities in our mission to build a safe, secure, and resilient world.”

Best Companies Group analyzes and ranks participating companies on eight core focus areas: leadership and planning; corporate culture and communications; role satisfaction; work environment; employees’ relationships with supervisors; training, development, and resources; pay and benefits; and overall employee engagement.

Companies across the region entered the two-part process to determine the Best Places to Work in Baton Rouge, evaluated on employee experience as well as on the company’s workplace policies, practices, and demographics.
