IEM Named a Best Company for Remote Workers

IEM ranked fifth in Quartz Magazine’s rankings

October 6, 2023, Research Triangle Park, NC – IEM, the world’s largest woman-and minority-owned emergency management and disaster recovery consulting firm, was recently named one of Quartz Magazine’s Best Companies for Remote Workers on their annual list created in collaboration with the Best Companies Group. IEM is honored to have been named #5 in the 2023 rankings. This global survey and awards program is designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best places of employment in remote work, benefiting the industry’s economy, workforce, and businesses.

IEM and the other recipients who earned this recognition were part of a two-part survey process that evaluated both employee experience as well as the company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics. The employee experience portion of the process was weighed more heavily, accounting for 75 percent of the total assessment carried out by Best Companies Group.
