Security Risks for Obama 2nd Inauguration Have Not Lessened
Washington, D.C., January 17, 2013 – IEM Vice President of Response and Defense, Richard Rowe, Major General US Army (Retired), was interviewed by NBC and Bloomberg News about his thoughts on security for President’s Obama second inauguration taking place January 21, 2013. In 2009, Rowe led the military task force in charge of event security for Obama’s first inauguration.
Rowe warns that we must still remain vigilant because the threat of violence during the inauguration celebration has increased due to technological advancements and the sheer importance of such an event being a highly desired target for terrorists.
