Before his impactful role at IEM, John honed his skills in public accounting while working with various public and private companies across multiple industries, including government contractors, financial institutions, and pharmaceutical firms. His responsibilities were multifaceted, encompassing leadership in financial statement audits, advisory services, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance for large public companies. Additionally, John was instrumental in leading single audit engagements with private companies and government agencies, demonstrating his versatility and depth of knowledge in financial practices.
John’s professional acumen is further underscored by his credentials as a Certified Public Accountant, bringing over a decade of experience in both public accounting and private industry. His educational background is equally impressive, with bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Siena College. His commitment to the field is evident in his active membership in prestigious organizations and Certified Public Accountant licenses in North Carolina and New York. John’s expertise encompasses various skills, including internal and external audits, financial statement compilation, account reconciliation, fixed asset tracking, and financial statement preparation.
At IEM, John has provided financial projections and analytical reports to inform critical business decisions. Before IEM, his tenure as an audit supervisor with a large accounting firm involved coordinating and planning annual financial statement audits in diverse sectors such as technology, construction, and healthcare. His approach to auditing is comprehensive, incorporating risk assessments, engagement experience, and collaboration with managers and partners.
