Eric DiLorenzo
Eric DiLorenzo is a retired Captain with the Myrtle Beach Police Department and a highly accomplished emergency management and active shooter subject matter expert with over 25 years of real-world operational experience and executive-level leadership. As the former Special Teams and Special Events Commander and Police Department Emergency Management Coordinator of the Myrtle Beach Police Department, he has extensive experience in incident response training, exercise design and evaluation, multi-disciplinary integrated training programs, and emergency management best practices.
Mr. DiLorenzo’s expertise in critical incident response and crisis management has been recognized by over 15,000 people as he has trained on Active Shooter related topics since 1999. He is a certified Active Shooter Response instructor by ALERRT and the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC). He has also created numerous Active Shooter plans for businesses and schools, including protocols for before, during, and after an incident.
Captain DiLorenzo holds a master’s degree from Georgetown University in Emergency and Disaster Management and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy Session 268. He is a highly sought-after speaker on topics related to critical incident and special event management, tourism safety and security, and critical incident leadership.
Currently, Mr. DiLorenzo serves as a Senior Project Manager at IEM. His extensive experience and expertise make him a valuable asset in any emergency management or security-related project.
