Texas Health Science Center Sets Up COVID-19 Alternate Care Site
Healthcare Design Magazine – The aim of the site is to free up space at area hospitals and reduce the need to transport patients elsewhere in Texas for care, according to a UT Health press release. The site is operated by AshBritt (Austin, Texas), a rapid-response emergency management and logistics contractor, in partnership with disaster management firm IEM Medical (Research Triangle Park, N.C.).
Alternate COVID care site to open on Tuesday
KGNS – Patients who will be admitted will have been previously hospitalized, but the site allows these patients to have a few extra days of monitoring while also freeing up beds in the ICU’s.
