IEM Marks 40 Years of Excellence with 2025 Leadership Summit

Honoring Four Decades of Innovation and Impact While Charting the Future

February 14, 2025, Morrisville, NC – IEM International Inc., a leader in emergency management, disaster recovery, and critical infrastructure, proudly hosted its 2025 Leadership Summit in Baton Rouge, where the company was founded in 1985. As the management team reflected on the company’s history and celebrated four decades of growth, we honored the legacy that has shaped IEM into the innovative organization it is today.

IEM’s annual Leadership Summit brought together nearly 90 top leaders to align on the company’s vision and ensure they have the tools for continued success. Through leadership development, interactive sessions, and team building, the Summit fostered collaboration across sectors. The executive team reinforced its vision, strengthening cross-sector relationships and knowledge-sharing to drive innovation and better serve clients and communities.

Recognizing Excellence

As part of the Summit, IEM honored outstanding employees whose contributions exemplify the company’s mission and core values:

  • Innovation Award (Lab Coat Award): Presented to Mery Alvarez, Tamara Benton, Jessica Cooper, Lori Landry, Andrew Martinez, and Michele Jones for their development of IEM’s Center of Excellence, a groundbreaking initiative that enhances client support by streamlining processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring compliance with FEMA requirements. Their work has strengthened IEM’s ability to deliver impactful, solutions-driven services to clients nationwide.
  • Spirit Award: Awarded to Jen Menaker and Andi Ray, at the management and staff levels respectively, for their dedication to IEM’s core values, including collaboration, responsiveness, and operational integrity. Their colleagues recognized their commitment to excellence and teamwork as key in advancing the company’s mission.
  • Presidential Excellence Award: Given to the team of Leigh Deskins, Michele Jones, and Kimberly Prosser at the manager level, and Jessica Cooper at the staff level in recognition of their leadership, dedication, and significant contributions to IEM’s continued success. Their work has been instrumental in driving initiatives that enhance the company’s impact and service to our clients.

To celebrate 40 years of innovation and impact, IEM hosted a special anniversary event at LSUs Museum of Art, bringing together employees, partners, and clients who have shaped our journey. The evening honored key milestones, celebrated our collective achievements, and reinforced the relationships that drive our continued success.
