Amy Stewart is a paragon in human resources, boasting nearly three decades of experience in employee management and human resources policies. A steadfast commitment to quality improvement and effective staff management has marked her journey in the human resources realm. Amy’s career has been a testament to her ability to foster growth and excellence within the teams she has led.

Amy leads the human resources business function at IEM, where her role encompasses managing a diverse team of human resources generalists and recruiters. Amy is particularly adept at navigating the challenges of staff surges during extensive disaster recovery efforts, ensuring seamless adaptation and support for her team.

Before her tenure at IEM, Amy directed human resources operations at a surgical center, where she was responsible for over 200 employees, crafting human resources goals, managing budgets, and advising on employee performance matters. Her proactive approach enhanced employee morale and a robust, compliant human resources framework. Amy also played a pivotal role at Volunteers of America, directing human resources for over 450 employees and aligning the workforce with strategic organizational goals.

Amy’s early career includes a significant role at a large healthcare facility, where she coordinated human resources services for departments with over 700 employees. This role honed her skills in mediation, policy interpretation, and training, contributing to her comprehensive human resources expertise.

Her dedication to continuous learning and human resource improvement is evident in her career trajectory. Amy is not just a leader in her field but a catalyst for change and a model of excellence in human resources management. Amy holds a bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech University. She is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources and a Society for Human Response Management Senior Certified Professional.
