Company ranks No. 4 among large employers and
No. 4 overall in the greater Baton Rouge area
BATON ROUGE, LA – IEM, a leading professional services firm focused on emergency management, community resilience, and disaster recovery, has been named one of the 2026 Best Places to Work in Baton Rouge, ranking No. 4 among large employers and No. 4 overall in the greater Baton Rouge area. This marks IEM’s 12th consecutive year on the list and the fifth straight year in the top four large employers.
Founded in Baton Rouge in 1985, IEM has grown from its Louisiana roots to serve communities across all 50 states and five U.S. territories. “IEM is truly honored to rank on the Baton Rouge list for a 12th year,” said Bryan Koon, IEM President and CEO. “Receiving this recognition in the community where IEM was founded makes it especially meaningful and reflects our enduring commitment to our team and the communities we serve.”
The awards are a project of the Greater Baton Rouge Business Report, the Greater Baton Rouge SHRM, an affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management, and Best Companies Group. Established in 2014, the program recognizes and honors the best places of employment in Baton Rouge, thereby benefiting the local economy, workforce, and businesses. IEM began participating in 2015 and has ranked every year since.
Best Companies Group analyzes and ranks participating companies across eight core focus areas: leadership and planning; corporate culture and communications; role satisfaction; work environment; employees’ relationships with supervisors; training, development, and resources; pay and benefits; and overall employee engagement.
Companies across the region participated in a two-part process to determine the Best Places to Work in Baton Rouge. The first part, counting as 20% of the total evaluation, assessed each company’s workplace policies, practices, and demographics. The second part, accounting for 80% of the assessment, consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final rankings.
“IEM’s strength comes from the exceptional people who make up our team,” said Brad Tiffee, IEM Chief Administrative Officer and Baton Rouge resident. “This recognition reinforces our dedication to ensuring our employees thrive while recognizing the extraordinary value they bring to IEM and the communities we serve.”
