Michelle received her bachelor’s degree from Nicholls State University and began her career at a large utility company as an accountant, quickly demonstrating her prowess in financial management. Her role involved critical tasks like Sarbanes-Oxley Act quarterly testing and resolving long-standing account reconciliation issues. This foundational experience laid the groundwork for her impressive journey in the financial sector.
Michelle’s career trajectory significantly changed when she joined a large accounting firm as an auditor, where she honed her skills in auditing state programs and consulting for small businesses and governmental entities. She played a pivotal role in compiling financial statements and ensuring compliance with the stringent standards of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. In 2005, Michelle embarked on a long-standing career with IEM, where her career flourished through various roles, showcasing her versatility and leadership. She ensures compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and federal and state regulations, reflecting her deep understanding of the economic landscape. Her expertise extends to working with audit organizations, guaranteeing timely and flawless audits, and administrating enterprise financial software programs.
