Project Work
The IEM team delivered expert support, innovative strategies, and transformative outcomes nationwide. Team IEM proudly managed 220 projects, partnering with 144 agencies, states, territories, and local jurisdictions. We were excited to launch 66 new initiatives and successfully complete 89 projects, driving meaningful progress for the communities we serve.
Hurricane Response & Recovery
During a highly active hurricane season marked by above-average activity, communities across the Southeast faced significant challenges from storms like Debby, Helene, and Milton. Ready to support our partners, the IEM proudly deployed 580 team members to provide critical on-the-ground and reach back response and long-term recovery assistance to disaster survivors.
Recognizing the immense devastation caused by Helene and Milton, IEM is humbled to partner with charitable organizations making a difference in impacted communities, donating funds to support North Carolina, Florida, and Virginia in their journey toward recovery and resilience.
Leadership Highlights
In a pivotal year for IEM, Founder and former CEO, Madhu Beriwal proudly welcomed Bryan Koon as the company’s new President and CEO. Now serving as Chairwoman, Madhu continues to shape IEM’s future, collaborating closely with Bryan and the Executive Team to propel the company to new heights. This year, Team IEM celebrated 14 new leadership transitions, including new hires and internal promotions, reinforcing our commitment to growth and innovation.
To amplify IEM’s impact, 90 internal IEM leaders gathered in Orlando, Florida for the annual IEM Leadership Summit in April. The event highlighted our achievements and explored opportunities for continued success. We were privileged to host guest speakers Kevin Guthrie, Executive Director of the Florida Division of Emergency Management and Manny Soto, Director of Orlando’s Office of Emergency Management, who shared valuable insights into building resilience across Florida.
IEM Unscripted’s DisasterSmiths
In February, IEM proudly introduced IEM Unscripted with the launch of the DisasterSmiths podcast!
