IEM Welcomes New Senior Staff to Digital Services Team

Growth-driven roles announced to support expansion of technology-based sector

(Revised) Morrisville, NC, February 2, 2023 — IEM, the nation’s largest woman-and minority-owned disaster and emergency management firm, is pleased to announce additions to our Digital Services (DS) sector: Matt Hodges, Director of Customer Experience and Anant Kulkarni, Senior Digital Product Engineer.

Hodges will oversee the development and implementation of sector-wide initiatives that improve customer relations and brand loyalty. He has 14 years of experience in the military intelligence community and is a subject-matter expert in all-source and criminal analysis. Hodges’s background includes work in all Department of Defense service components, federal civilian agencies, and state/local governments. Hodges is a United States Army veteran who served in Afghanistan. While on active duty, he received multiple degrees in law enforcement and military intelligence operations. He advocates for servicemembers with post-traumatic stress disorder and helps with navigating the toll the condition takes on individuals and their families.

“Matt’s familiarity with the mission of the federal customer experience and improving the end-to-end experience by aligning operations to customer needs, will be essential in managing IEM’s growing client base,” said Nick Lattanzi, Vice President of Digital Services and National Security Solutions.

Kulkarni will ensure alignment with IEM’s senior leadership team and our clients and stakeholders to clearly define strategies for meeting product development, business-planning process, and digital modernization goals. In his former role as Vice President of Technology and Innovation of a major bank, he was responsible for managing enterprise product lines in the financial sector. Also, he previously oversaw the implementation of numerous technical solutions using Appian’s low-code solution.

“Under Anant’s leadership, we look forward to furthering our in-house applications and identifying innovative solutions to meet our customers’ needs,” Lattanzi said.

“The Digital Services team is fortunate to bring on such talented individuals with such strong backgrounds in technology and business development across government levels and in private industries,” Lattanzi said. “As the DS sector continues to expand, we look forward to creating innovative solutions for our clients with a focus on building lasting relationships and providing invaluable services.”
