IEM is actively monitoring and assisting our clients during the current COVID-19 global health crisis, and have taken steps to prepare our team and our company.
The health and safety of our community – employees, consultants, contractors, and clients – remains paramount. Our hearts and thoughts are with those impacted by the pandemic. As an emergency management-founded, and technology-based company, we have taken strides to help flatten the curve and encourage social distancing to the fullest extent possible.
Following a successful telework exercise, IEM transitioned to remote operations for the majority of our team and are being as flexible as possible with the entire IEM team based on client guidance and discretion. As emergency managers, this is something we have planned for and were ready to execute. In our eleven office locations, our management teams are adhering to federal, state, territorial, and local guidance and are practicing social distancing and sanitization procedures for the safety of those who must remain at work for critical operations.
Our work continues seamlessly although remotely. With the use of technology, we are able to carry on IEM’s daily and routine business of helping clients and each other. For the protection of our employees and our clients, we are conducting as many meetings as possible through phone calls or video calls and look forward to the day when in-person meetings resume. In the meantime, we carry on serving our clients’ needs with the professionalism and excellent level of service that is expected from the IEM team.
To help you keep up with the constantly changing news, if you have not done so already, consider signing up for IEM’s news clips. Our weekday clips cover the news of the day ranging from COVID-19 and public health to emergency management to homeland and national security to resilience and much more. It’s our way of giving back and helping you stay on top of an ever changing landscape.
